UK HC called PM of Mauritius

Port Louis, 20 August 2021 (TDI):  High Commissioner of the United Kingdom, Ms.

Charlotte Anik Rachel Pierre to Mauritius assured UK’s support in regards of Climate Change challenges for the country. The message was given to the Prime Minister of the Mauritius State, Mr.

Pravind Kumar Jugnauth in a courtesy call.
The High commissioner stated that we had a good discussion on the issues both countries are facing.

The Prime Minister was also invited to the conference of Parties to be held in Glasgow, UK. Also, Mr. Pierre praised the work of Mauritius on COVID standing second the continent in terms of less affected countries.
As the FATF is visiting Mauritius, the Commissioner added that the UK has supported Mauritius intangibly and shall continue to support Mauritius in the path of development and reforms towards progress.
Both countries are important commonwealth partners and bilateral relations are much important, the High commissioner expressed lastly.
