UK government to sends humanitarian aid to Haiti

London, 01 September 2021 (TDI): The UK government announced a $1.3 million aid package to help Haiti in the wake of the earthquake disaster.

A 7.2-magnitude earthquake shook Haiti on August 14, 2021. Since then, the UK government has been sending relief supplies and humanitarian aid to the government and people of Haiti. Last week, the British Government sent 20 metric tonnes of aid goods. On August 24, it sent solar-powered lights and shelter kits to about 1300 families in various parts of Haiti. Now it is committed to sending another $1.3 million of aid to the affected people.
