UK and Australia to share COVID-19 vaccines

-

London, 4 September 2021 (TDI): The Foreign Affairs Office of the UK announced a vaccine swap with Australia to accelerate each other’s vaccination programs.

Under this initiative, the UK government will send 4 million doses of Pfizer/BioTech vaccines to Australia to support its roll-out of life-saving jabs. Then, by the end of this year, Australia will return the same quantity of vaccines to the UK. The purpose of this initiative is to support Australia in its domestic inoculation program on an urgent basis. Whereas, the UK is going to get a security of vaccines delivery in the future. Under this program, the first supply of 300,000 doses will be delivered to Australia within a few days.
