Abu Dhabi, 27 August 2021 (TDI): The United Arab Emirates has joined hands with the international community to enhance humanitarian assistance and to bring peace and stability to Afghanistan.
Following the situation in Afghanistan, UAE has assured its commitment to strengthen the cooperation and support by providing humanitarian assistance and help to Afghanis. Accordingly, the country has successfully evacuated more than 28,000 people with the addition of 8,500 nationals from other states including the UK, France, and Australia.
At the request of the USA, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation announced that UAE will host evacuees before they head towards other countries. UAE is facilitating the people who are evacuated with a number of services including medical care and food.
To preserve the security, stability, and dignity of Afghanis, Salem Mohammad Al Zaabi, the Director of International Security Cooperation Department said, UAE will continue to work along with the support of the international community.
