Turkish President attends United Nation General Assembly’s 76th session

Ankara, 20 September 2021 (TDI): President of the State of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan left for the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

In his speech at the United Nations, he mentioned that he will talk about Turkey’s utter advocacy for multilateralism. He further mentioned that Turkey has always raised this strong slogan that the world is bigger than the five. He further said that he will talk on the main issues posed to the agenda of the United Nations and will demonstrate his approach to the hardships threatening humanity. The President further mentioned that he will also talk about the migrants since Turkey has always welcomed asylum seekers and migrants, especially from Afghanistan and Syria. Adding on, he said that Turkey is not expecting to take on a new wave of migrants.

The 76th session of the General Assembly commenced last week. High-level debates start on Tuesday. About 130 heads of government and states will join.
