Ankara, 2 September 2021 (TDI): The Republic of Turkey Congratulates the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on its Independence Day. Both Turkey and Vietnam had friendly relations throughout the years. Both countries have signed mutual agreements in the fields of technology, education, and billions of trade.
The two countries tied their diplomatic relations in 1978. In 1997 the first embassy of Turkey was inaugurated in Hanoi. However, in 2005 Vietnam opened its first official embassy in Ankara. Till 2020, the trade volume between both countries has been $1.6 billion. In an official statement, the Turkish Foreign Ministry has hoped that their friendly cooperation will continue to increase in the coming years.
