Washington (TDI): President Donald Trump has said that the ongoing US–Israel military campaign against Iran could conclude within weeks, while simultaneously warning of intensified military action in the coming period.
In a 19-minute prime-time address from the White House, Trump described the campaign as a “decisive, overwhelming victory” and said the United States is close to completing its objectives. However, he emphasized that operations would escalate in the short term before any potential conclusion.
He stated that strikes would continue over the next two to three weeks, claiming that Iran’s military capabilities, particularly its missile and drone infrastructure, have been significantly weakened. The President said that weapons facilities and launch systems have suffered extensive damage, reducing Iran’s ability to respond effectively.
At the same time, Trump acknowledged that Iran continues to carry out retaliatory actions, though he maintained that its operational capacity has been substantially reduced. He also said that nuclear-related facilities have been targeted again, suggesting that buried materials are no longer of immediate concern.

The president reiterated his long-standing position that Iran must not be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons, and argued that Iran had been rapidly advancing toward that goal. He further claimed that the conflict has inflicted unprecedented damage on Iran’s military infrastructure, though such assertions remain disputed by independent observers.
Trump also linked the current conflict to broader geopolitical and historical contexts, asserting that earlier nuclear agreements would have had negative consequences for regional security. He claimed that the situation has effectively led to a change in Iran’s leadership structure due to losses suffered during the conflict.
