Washington DC, 5 October 2021 (TDI): The U.S State Secretary Antony J. Blinken called NATO’s Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg yesterday.
The two officials discussed the vitality of having NATO’s new strategic concept in emerging new global challenges.
During the telephonic conversation, the two officials deliberated on the importance of the Transatlantic bond as NATO is facing emerging new challenges globally.
Both the officials consented to the vitality of having a new Strategic Concept of NATO to make NATO more adaptable in the future.
During the conversation, Secretary-General Stoltenberg and Secretary Blinken also emphasized the value of Japan, Australia, New Zealand and, South Korea’s partnership with NATO. In the end, the importance of unity of NATO allies on approach towards Afghanistan was highlighted between the two high officials.
