Telephonic Conversation between Presidents of Uzbekistan and European Council

Tashkent, 30 August 2021 (TDI): President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephonic conversation with the President of European Council, Charles Michel.

Both parties emphasized cooperation in politics, diplomacy, trade, economics, investment and humanitarian spheres. Uzbekistan’s cooperation with key financial institutions i.e. the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Investment Bank is growing. So, the monetary negotiations were also on the agenda.

At the end of the conversation, both sides highlighted recent developments in Uzbekistan and Afghanistan. They also exchanged views about security as well as Humanitarian aid.
