Berlin, 11 October 2022 (TDI): Ambassador of Tajikistan Imomudin Sattorov, presided over an event at the Embassy of Tajikistan in Berlin, Germany.

The Embassy of Tajikistan in Berlin, Germany, and the Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade (BWA) mutually organized the event.

Investors, German Companies, regional experts, and journalists participated in the event. The key reason for the representation of multiple sectors was to enhance trade and economic collaboration and to attract investment in Tajikistan.

Objectives of the Event

The participants were called to enhance their contributions to the markets of Tajikistan. They were asked to extend the investment and trade, to promote economic coordination between Tajikistan and Germany.

Through this event, the organizers of the event briefed and familiarized the participants, with the available prospects and economic opportunities in the Republic of Tajikistan. They also elaborated on the region’s potential in the field of industry, agriculture, energy, services, tourism, and logistics.

The organizer also informed the participants about the various implemented projects in numerous sectors of Tajikistan. Furthermore, they also briefed about the system of investment protection of the country.

In the last session of the event,  participants were requested to discuss queries and questions. They received satisfactory responses to each question. Most of the queries were relevant to the opportunities for further cooperation, the primary requirements, the legal context for investment, and the current state of affairs in the region.

Remarks of Imomudin Sattorov

Imomudin Sattorov highlighted that Tajikistan enjoys a vast economic, trade, and investment potential. Despite the above-mentioned activities, plenty of opportunities are available for businessmen and investors to expand relevant activities.

Ambassador further stated that attracting foreign direct investment is the key target of Tajikistan.

Despite it, the country seeks to get technological advancement from Germany to use existing facilities. It will enable the country to process various industrial goods and progress the national economy.
