Islamabad, 9 November 2022 (TDI): The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Pakistan congratulated Pakistan on the birthday of Allama Muhammad Iqbal.

Poet of the East; Allama Iqbal

Allama Mohammad Iqbal, also known as the ‘Poet of the East was a great leader and a famous poet of the sub-continent. He guided and united the scattered and hopeless Muslim nation through his poetry.

Moreover, his poetry urged to develop the self-determination and self-respect in the Muslims of the sub-continent and worldwide.

The whole world acknowledges his services regarding the creation of awareness among Muslims. His efforts proved to be fruitful later on. He was the one who dreamed for Pakistan.

In his famous address in Allahabad in 1938, he presented a tentative plan for the division of the sub-continent and the establishment of an independent state for Muslims.

In order to pay gratitude for his services to the nation, every year his birthday is celebrated on 9 November with devotion and respect in Pakistan.

Message from the Embassy of Kazakhstan

The message of greeting was shared on the official Twitter account of the Embassy of Kazakhstan to Pakistan. It stated, “The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan congratulates the brotherly Nation of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, on the occasion of 9th November, Dr. Allama Mohammad Iqbal Day”.

Kazakhstan-Pakistan Bilateral Relations

At this event, the greetings from the Embassy of Kazakhstan demonstrate the closeness and integrity of bilateral relations. Pakistan was the first among the few countries that recognized the sovereignty of Kazakhstan in 1991.

Both countries initiated diplomatic relations in 1992. The political elites of both states paid frequent official visits. Both supported one another’s efforts to gain membership in multiple platforms.

Kazakhstan supported Pakistan in becoming a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, a full member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the Human Rights Council, and a candidate for the UNESCO Executive Board.
