Dushanbe, 4 October 2021 (TDI): The Deputy Foreign Minister of Tajikistan, Muzaffar Huseinzoda received the Director of the Conflict Prevention Center of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Tuula Yrjölä.
The parties discussed the three-dimensional security approach of OSCE. It includes the military-political, the economic-environmental, and the human. They underscore a wide range of issues of cooperation within the framework of the OSCE three-dimensional security.
The sides also underscored the importance of jointly addressing the contemporary challenges. Their discussion emphasized the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the economy.
They also discussed the climate crisis. The COVID-19 pandemic has had significant adverse impacts on Tajikistan’s economy.
It has amplified health and social pressures.
The parties regarded the Tajikistan-OSCE Partnership Platform meetings as an important mechanism for promoting constructive dialogue. They expressed interest in expanding interactions to strengthen cooperation.
