Bern July 25, 2021 (TDI): On Saturday, Switzerland sent its 6th relief flight to Indonesia carrying 13 tonnes of medical equipment including 600 oxygen concentrators.
Viewing the medical health situation and in response to requests for assistance from Indonesia, the Swiss Humanitarian Aid Unit decided to support the country in its fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
This medical support marks the sixth delivery of medical supplies from Switzerland to other states since May 2021. Swiss Embassy is in direct contact with Indonesian authorities, ensuring that humanitarian aid is distributed among the various sites.
Swiss Humanitarian Aid which is a part of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Ministry (FDFA) had previously sent medical equipment and supplies to Tunisia, India, Sri Lanka, Mongolia, and Nepal.
