Ambassador of Switzerland’s Love for Pakistani Mangoes

-

Bern July 25, 2021 (TDI): Ambassador of Switzerland to Pakistan, Bénédict de Cerjat expressed his desire to see the mangoes from Pakistan in the big supermarkets of Switzerland, today.

While shopping in Coop, Switzerland’s largest retail and wholesale company, in Valais, Switzerland, the Ambassador came across premium mangoes from Mexico and the Dominican Republic price equalling PKR 1040 each and PKR 340 each respectively.

In view of the high prices and absence of mangoes from Pakistan in the supermarket, the Ambassador took to Twitter where he wished that the “succulent mangoes from Pakistan will soon make it to the big Swiss supermarkets.”

Hailed as the “King of Fruits”, mango is the National fruit of Pakistan. The country is famous for producing various types of mangos including Sindhri, Chaunsa, Langra, and Dussehri.

Pakistani mangos are popular all around the world. Thus even during the distressing times of the global COVID-19 pandemic, the country has gifted as well as exported its juicy and delectable mangos to different countries.
