Qatar evacuates more than 40,000 people from Kabul

Doha, 26 August 2021 (TDI): The State of Qatar has successfully evacuated more than 40,000 people from Kabul in a bid to continue the evacuation process and to support international partners and countries.

Following the appeal of international communities, NGOs, several media organizations, and other educational institutions, Qatar has also evacuated people from the US, UK, and Germany.

For the protection of the lives and rights of people, the State of Qatar guaranteed to facilitate the evacuation of thousands of citizens from Afghanistan. Moreover, to bring peace and stability in Afghanistan and the region, Qatar has played an important role as an impartial mediator by working on the framework of diplomacy, peaceful dialogue, and development projects.
