Sweden, UNICEF Improve Livelihoods in Pakistan

Islamabad (TDI): Sweden, in partnership with UNICEF Pakistan, is carrying out important work to improve the livelihoods of vulnerable communities in Pakistan.

From hygiene, clean water and disaster preparedness programs, around 40,000 people are currently benefitting from their efforts in the country.

These projects also prevent waterborne diseases, thus allowing communities to cope better with impending challenges, which, in the long term, actually increase resilience and better living conditions.

In a post on X, Alex Berg von Linde, the Swedish Ambassador to Pakistan, shared the story of young Shadra, who like thousands of other children, benefitted from initiatives being carried out by Sweden and UNICEF Pakistan to improve the livelihoods of vulnerable segments in Pakistan.

This partnership signifies the need for international cooperation in raising awareness about pressing issues, such as sanitation, health, and disaster preparedness.
