Kyiv, 16 September 2021 (TDI): State Minister of Sri Lanka, Tharaka Balasuriya undertook an official visit to Ukraine and held a meeting with Ukrainian Officials during an event. The officials were Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Dmytro Senik, Ukrainian Trade Minister Taras Kachka, and President of Ukraine Chamber of Commerce, Gennadiy Chyzhykov.
All parties discussed the potential for enhancing tourism and economic ties. The event was organized by the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau. It provided Sri Lanka with an important opportunity to highlight its tourist attractions for the Ukrainian people. They discussed means of further enhancing economic relations between the two countries, particularly in areas such as agriculture, ICT, and tourism.
This initiative will not only boost trade and economic activity but will also provide an impetus for people-to-people linkage for better Regional Cooperation.
