Washington D.C (TDI): Sarah Morgenthau, Special Representative for Commercial and Business Affairs of United States, visited Warsaw, Poland from October 23 to 25.
The purpose of the visit is to strengthen U.S robust bilateral commercial relationship. The United States and Poland’s bilateral trade has grown dramatically during the past ten years, hitting a record-breaking $24.2 billion in 2023.
In addition, at the U.S.-Poland-Ukraine Veterans Reintegration Forum, which highlighted the trilateral collaboration between the three nations, Special Representative Morgenthau represented the United States.
Moreover, Leaders from the business and government sectors gathered at the conference to exchange best practices and resources for helping veterans of Russia’s war of aggression re-enter the workforce.

Additionally, the event included breakout sessions on topics such as prostheses, mental health, physical rehabilitation, and gender-specific support for female veterans.
While in Warsaw, Special Representative Morgenthau participated in a roundtable with Google, Microsoft, and Amazon and gave keynote remarks at the AmCham Manufacturers’ Forum 2024.
Furthermore, she also participated in a conversation with women business executives led by U.S.
Ambassador to Poland Mark Brzezinski on the economic prospects for women in Poland, the challenges they encounter, and the role of the Polish and American private sectors in Ukraine’s economic recovery.
Furthermore, Special Representative Morgenthau met with high-ranking Polish government officials from the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to talk about U.S expanding energy partnership.
This partnership includes the building of Poland’s first nuclear power plant by American firms Westinghouse and Bechtel.

Additionally, they talked on Poland’s impending January 2025 leadership of the European Union Council.
The Special Representative emphasized in her speeches the significance of Poland’s backing for Ukraine since Putin’s full-scale war began in 2022.
Moreover, Poland has been a logistics hub for the delivery of vital humanitarian aid and equipment to Ukraine, and it continues to accommodate almost a million Ukrainian refugees in an incredible show of kindness and unity.
