South Sudan Vice President met with UN Secretary-General

New York, 27 September 2021 (TDI): On her visit to United Nations General Assembly 76th session, the Vice-President of South Sudan, Rebecca Nyandeng De Mabior, met with Antonio Guterres, the Secretary-General of the United Nations Organization to talk about issues related to peacekeeping, trade, and investment.

The major principle of the meeting was to reaffirm the Secretary-General of the United Nations about fetching long-lasting peace to the people of South Sudan and work for aggrandizing democratic norms in the country. 

Furthermore, the Vice President also discussed the expansion and the importance of the East African Community for secured, aggravated, and smooth trade in the region. Lastly, both sides stressed bringing investment and employment in the region with the help of trade expansion and peacekeeping.
