South Korean Ambassador visits Lebanon

Baalbek, 4 October 2021 (TDI): The Ambassador of the Republic of South Korea to Lebanon, Young Dae Kwan, called on the city’s municipal council. The council was chaired by Fouad Blouk.

The agenda of the meeting was to discuss an assortment of developmental projects. The South Korean Ambassador underscored his country’s willingness to support Lebanon, especially when it is experiencing one of the most challenging crises.

South Korea and Lebanon have maintained strong bilateral ties in various fields ever since 1981. Both countries are committed to further strengthen bilateral ties for mutual interests.

The South Korean Ambassador also toured the city of Baalbek on his sojourn. During his visit, he explored the archaeological sites in the city. Baalbek is an ancient historical city which was known as Heliopolis in Roman and Greek times. It is located to the east of Litani River in Lebanon’s Beqaa Valley.
