Islamabad, 8 March 2023 (TDI): Serena Hotels hosted a networking breakfast to honor, appreciate, and laud women who have excelled in their professional careers on International Women’s Day.

Members of the diplomatic community, international agency representatives, corporate sector representatives, Ministry of Foreign Affairs representatives, Serena associates, and other women working to change behaviors for the betterment of women were among those invited.

These women are dedicated to paving the way for young and talented women to discover their potential for career advancement and economic independence.

A cake was cut at the conclusion of the ceremony to reiterate the celebration of Women’s Day. The meet and greet began in the foyer, where the women were immersed in an immersive experience of arts and crafts on exhibit.

The First Lady, Begum Samina Arif Alvi, served as the event’s chief guest, and successful women from a variety of backgrounds marked the event with their collective presence.

Naima Ansari, a former member of the Islamabad Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry, delivered the keynote addresses.

The audience heard from Ayla Majeed, the first Muslim, South Asian, and Pakistani woman in the position of Vice President (VP) of ACCA, and from Kashmala Khan, a former Federal Ombudsperson for Protection against Harassment of Women at Work.

Begum Samina Alvi also discussed the efforts the government has been making toward gender parity through various initiatives & underlined the significance of giving women an inclusive and equitable working environment, no matter the area they select.

Since Serena Hotels firmly believes in gender equality, the company has been commemorating International Women’s Day for almost a decade.
