Geneva, 11 September 2021 (TDI): Secretary-General of the UN Antonio Guterres extended his invitation to the international community.
On 10th September, Secretary-General has called the international community to join the UN session on both physical and virtual backgrounds. The session will happen on 13th September 2021.
The Joint Session of the International Community will show solidarity to the people of Afghanistan. In this regard, Secretary-General of the UN Antonio Guterres asked the UN members states, and civil societies to join hands to help Afghanistan in this time of crisis.
The session will help to gather the support of the International Community to address the humanitarian crisis collectively. Mr. Guterres further pledged that this time requires joint efforts and unified leadership.
Secretary-General of the UN asked the transnational community to extend their unwavering support to the people of Afghanistan. The Official account of the United Nations Office at Geneva tweeted:
