Secretary General NATO praises Poland’s evacuation efforts

Warsaw, 21 August 2021 (TDI): Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Poland, Marcin Przydacz stated in a meeting held between Foreign Ministers of NATO countries that the hard work of the allied countries to evacuate foreign personnel and Afghan co-workers with allies coordination was admirable.

According to the minister’s statement, there is a need to pressure the Taliban to abide by fundamental human rights provisions, especially for women and children. He added that Poland is ready to evacuate additional 300 Afghan refugees who were working for NATO and Poland will give them a temporary stay in the country.

Secretary-General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg appreciated Poland’s efforts and willingness to assist with the evacuation processes.
