Washington, 31 August 2021 (TDI): The Secretary of the United States of America, Antony Blinken expressed the firm intention of holding the Taliban accountable for their commitment. The Taliban have repeatedly assured that all foreign nationals and any Afghan citizen with travel authorization from the US and other countries will be allowed to safely travel outside Afghanistan.
As the deadline for evacuation operations in Afghanistan approaches, more than 90 nations, including the United States, have signed a joint statement to reaffirm the safety of their citizens and Afghans who remain trapped in the war-torn country. Several European nations, as well as the United States, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and others, have signed the ‘Joint Statement on Afghanistan Evacuation Travel’.
