Washington, 30 August 2021 (TDI): The Secretary of the United States of America Antony J. Blinken talked to the Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu. They discussed the ongoing evacuation process in Afghanistan.
The State Department said in its tweet that Turkey is a key NATO ally for the US. Both high officials exchanged views about the safe and organized evacuation of vulnerable groups from Afghanistan. The US recognizes the role of Turkey in the region and is grateful for its support in Afghanistan.
