US delivers vaccines to Yemen

Washington, 30 August 2021 (TDI): The US Government sent the first supply of Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccines to Yemen through the COVAX facility.
The US State Department says that the US has played a key role in rehabilitating refugees, IDPs, and migrants in Yemen. It is sending 151,200 doses of the J&J vaccine as a part of the US response to curb the spread of the virus in Yemen. Apart from the vaccines, more than $108 million dollars have also been given to Yemen to bolster its response against COVID-19.
