Washington D.C (TDI): On the fringes of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken had a conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs Mélanie Joly of Canada yesterday.
During their conversation, both of the leaders cover a wide variety of topics that are important to our bilateral relationship as well as our strategic alliance throughout the world.
On multiple occasions, Secretary Blinken emphasized the importance of the United States and Canada concluding an updated version of the Columbia River Treaty.

Secretary Blinken and Minister Joly also had a conversation about important international and hemispheric issues, such as the security and stability situation in Haiti.
They also discussed the resolution of the crisis in the Middle East, and the security situation in the Arctic countries.
