Bishkek (TDI): The 3rd International Forum of Academicians on Green Energy of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states is being held in Bishkek, bringing together academics and energy experts to strengthen scientific and technological cooperation in the field of clean energy.

The forum is being organized by Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Energy, the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan and international partners, as Kyrgyzstan holds the SCO chairmanship.

The event aims to create a common scientific and practical platform for SCO countries to exchange experience, advance renewable energy technologies and discuss the future of regional energy transformation.

A key development at the forum was the inauguration of the Kyrgyz-Chinese Joint Laboratory Clean Energy and Energy Storage under the Belt and Road Initiative. A Digital Intelligence demonstration center was also launched to train specialists in energy conservation and energy storage technologies.
