Riyadh (TDI): Amid rising instability in the region, Saudi Arabia and France, who co-chair the UN Conference on the Peaceful Settlement of the Palestinian Question issued a joint statement on Tuesday alongside heads of the conference’s working groups, voicing serious concern over the deteriorating situation.
The statement revealed that the latest wave of violence has forced a pause in the high-level discussions.
It emphasized that this suspension reflects long-standing concerns about the volatility of the region and the urgent necessity to uphold international law, de-escalate tensions, and reenergize diplomatic initiatives.
Despite the current challenges, the statement confirmed the group’s ongoing commitment to the conference’s mission.
