Moscow, 9 September 2022 (TDI): The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin offered his condolences to His Majesty King Charles III on the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
He expressed his sorrow on the passing of the Queen, the longest-reigning monarch in British rule. He also wished the new King courage and fortitude in times of this hardship.

Putin’s Condolence statement on Queen’s death
The Russian president said, “Your Majesty, Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
The most important events in the recent history of the United Kingdom are inextricably linked with the name of Her Majesty. For many decades, Elizabeth II rightfully enjoyed the love and respect of her subjects, as well as her stature in the international arena.
I wish you courage and perseverance in the face of this heavy, irreparable loss. I ask you to convey words of sincere sympathy and support to the members of the Royal Family and all the people of Great Britain.

Queen Elizabeth’s death
Queen Elizabeth passed away peacefully at her residence in Scotland on Thursday at the age of 96. She was the longest-reigning monarch in British history. She was the head of the country and a towering presence on the international scene for seven decades.
“The death of my beloved Mother, Her Majesty the Queen, is a moment of the greatest sadness for me and all members of my family,” the new king, Charles, said.
“I know her loss will be deeply felt throughout the country, the Realms and the Commonwealth, and by countless people around the world,” the 73-year-old said in a statement.
