Russia-China bilateral ties

The treaty was extended for an additional five years in June 2021. The two countries demarcated their shared land border in 1991. The two nations have benefited from the tight military, economic, and political ties.
Both have backed one another in a number of international conflicts. Commentators have debated whether the bilateral strategic partnership constitutes an alliance. Officially, Russia and China stated that they were “better than allies” in their relationship.
