Doha, 20th September 2021 (TDI): Qatar organized a special flight to evacuate the remaining Canadian citizens stuck in Kabul. 20 people were departed for Doha on Monday.
Canadian Foreign Minister Marc Garneau reported that 19 of the evacuees are Canadian citizens while one of them is a permanent resident.
Marc Garneau also stated that Qatar’s flight has taken off from the Kabul airport for Doha and the evacuees will soon join their families in Canada. He also expressed his gratitude to the Qatari government for its crucial role in the Afghan evacuation.
