Dhaka, 29 December 2022 (TDI): The Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina has congratulated the newly appointed Prime Minister of Nepal, Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
She wrote to her counterpart saying “I am delighted to extend my warmest congratulations to you on your election as the Prime Minister of Nepal.”
She further added that “your election reflects the trust and confidence reposed in your able and visionary leadership by the people of Nepal.”
She went on to express her belief in the leadership of the newly elected Prime Minister saying “I believe your long experience will lead Nepal to an upper plateau of prosperity.”
In this vein, she also reiterated her confidence in her counterpart. The Prime Minister of Nepal was elected recently. Nepal has been a place of great cultural exchange and many bilateral relations with countries.

The relationship between Nepal and Bangladesh is based on mutual interest. The collaboration, particularly connectivity, trade, tourism, power, and people-to-people contact has been strong between the two.
She encouraged her counterpart to consider visiting Bangladesh during his tenure, going further to wish him a great term in office and for the people of Nepal for all their support to their partner country Bangladesh.
Bangladesh-Nepal trade terms are supposed to bounce back stronger after the pandemic due to the removal of most of the restrictions that most of the companies faced over the last two years.
