Islamabad, 4 January 2023 (TDI): Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif talked to Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) via telephone.
During the discourse, the two heads of the state reaffirmed mutual commitment for the further expansion and diversification of the special bilateral relations between Pakistan and the UAE.
In this vein, the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the Emirati President for the financial as well as material support in the wake of the devastation caused by climate induced floods in Pakistan.
Moreovr, the Prime Minister of Pakistan apprised the other side on the upcoming ‘International Conference on Resilient Pakistan.

The conference will be held in Geneva on 9 January 2023, for that Shehbaz Sharif solicited support for High level participation from the UAE.
On his part the Emirati leader expressed UAE’s whole hearted support for the initiatives to bolster Pakistan’s climate resilience which is the main agenda of the Conference.
Likewise, the Prime Minister also reiterated invitation to the UAE President for a visit to Pakistan.
Its pertinent to note that Pakistan and the UAE enjoy close fraternal ties for five decades that are rooted firmly in common belief and shared values and culture. Also, the UAE is Pakistan’s largest trading partner in the Middle East and a major source of investments.
