President Xi Urges BRICS Nations To Aim High Growth

Kazan, (TDI): Chinese President Xi Jinping urged BRICS countries to aim for high-quality growth in improved BRICS cooperation on Wednesday.

Xi commented at the 16th BRICS Summit, which was held in Kazan, Russia.

Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Their were also President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates were among those attending the summit, which Russian President Vladimir Putin chaired.

Xi greeted new members of the BRICS coalition and, in a small group discussion, invited several states to become partners.

Additionally, Xi stressed that the growth of organization marks a significant turning point in the organization’s history and a crucial development in the global landscape.

He says the BRICS countries have come together for their shared goal and the current peace and development trend.

According to Xi, the world is undergoing unprecedented transformations not seen in a century, marked by the emergence of multipolarity and the possibility of a “new Cold War.”

In addition, Xi also stated that BRICS countries need to seize this historic moment, take proactive steps, adhere to their core values of transparency, inclusivity, and mutual benefit, follow the general trend of the Global South’s rise, recognize common interests while recognizing differences, work together to uphold shared values, safeguard shared interests, and strengthen BRICS unity.

In addition, President Xi Jinping urged BRICS countries, As a leader advocating for global governance change, “We must work together to establish BRICS as a principal conduit for enhancing solidarity and cooperation among Global South nations.”

He underlined that BRICS countries must promote peace, development, and mutually beneficial cooperation as world unrest rises to uphold the organization’s fundamental values and demonstrate its strength.

The BRICS countries should increase peace rhetoric, advocating for a new security strategy emphasizing dialogue over conflict and cooperation over ties.

President Xi Jinping urged BRICS countries to work together to pursue a developmental path, create inclusive and universally beneficial economic globalization, and uphold the idea of expected progress. ”

Additionally, President Xi also emphasized that BRICS countries should fortify the foundation of cooperation, expand cooperation in traditional areas like agriculture, energy, minerals, economy, and trade.

He also said to expand cooperation in new areas like green technologies, low-carbon projects, and artificial intelligence, and safeguard trade, investment, and financial stability.

Following that, the Chinese president participated in an important meeting, made important statements on the direction of BRICS, and made five recommendations.

As the world moves into a new period marked by disruption and transformation, we must make important choices that will impact our future. Should we try to steer the world toward peace and progress or let it descend into chaos? Xi said.

He stressed that as our times become more turbulent, we must continue to be at the forefront, displaying resilience, having the courage to think outside the box, and having the wisdom to adjust.

He added that China is ready to work with all of the BRICS countries to create a new course for advancing improved BRICS cooperation.

“We should create a BRICS for peace, and we have to work together to be stewards of shared security,” Xi said. He said that adopting a vision of common, comprehensive, cooperative, and sustainable security is the only way to attain universal security.

Additionally, he urged the BRICS countries to push for an early ceasefire in Gaza and to work tirelessly toward a thorough, just, and long-lasting solution to the Palestinian problem.

“We should create a BRICS for innovation, and we all need to be leaders of better development,” Xi said. “We must adapt to contemporary developments and cultivate new high-quality productive forces.”

According to Xi, China recently opened a China Center for Cooperation on the Development of Special Economic Zones in BRICS Countries China Center for BRICS Industrial Competencies.

He also said a BRICS Digital Ecosystem Cooperation Network, and a China-BRICS Artificial Intelligence Development and Cooperation Center. Xi also invited active participation from all relevant parties.

“We should create a BRICS for green development, and we all need to be advocates for sustainable development,” Xi said.

Additionally, he noted that China’s strong production skills, as evidenced by its solar devices, lithium batteries, and electric vehicles, significantly contribute to global green development.

Xi said China is ready to expand cooperation with organization countries in clean energy, sustainable mining, and green industries to promote green development along the whole industrial chain.

This will raise the “green quotient” of our cooperation and improve the caliber of our development.

“We should create a BRICS centered on justice, and we all need to be leaders in changing global governance,” Xi said.

Moreover, He claimed that although global power dynamics are changing dramatically, global governance reform has lagged for a long time.

He urged the organization countries to support genuine multilateralism and the global governance ideal of thorough consultation, cooperative contribution, and reciprocal benefits.

According to Xi, organization members must increase the voice and power of developing nations in global governance while ensuring that the principles of equity, justice, transparency, and inclusivity guide reforms.

“BRICS countries should strengthen financial infrastructure connectivity, adopt higher financial security standards, and expand and strengthen the New Development Bank to make sure the global financial system better reflects changes in the global economy,” Xi said.

“We should form a BRICS to promote human interaction, and we all need to be advocates for the peaceful coexistence of all civilizations,” Xi said.

Xi expressed his happiness with the accomplishment of the BRICS digital education cooperation program.

He also highlighted the need for BRICS countries to promote inclusion and peaceful coexistence among civilizations while boosting the exchange of governance experiences.

He said China would implement a BRICS digital education capacity-building initiative, set up 10 learning centers in BRICS nations over the next five years, and provide training opportunities for 1,000 local students, instructors, and education administrators.

According to Xi, China is ready to work with the BRICS countries to set a new standard for the superior development of increased BRICS cooperation and jointly promote the development of a global community with a shared future for all people.

Under “Strengthening Multilateralism for Just Global Development and Security,” the attending leaders had in-depth conversations about critical international issues of shared concern and BRICS cooperation.

The leaders praised the development of BRICS institutions and their essential role in addressing global issues.

In addition, the leaders also claimed that the countries within the organization, with their large population, wealth, and potential for development, as well as their growing appeal and influence internationally, have become a model of multilateralism.

While further amplifying the voice and representation of the Global South in international affairs and advancing the establishment of a more just and equitable international order.

The leaders urged BRICS nations to uphold the organization’s ethos, strengthen solidarity and coordination, deepen the strategic partnership within an expanded organization framework.

It is also to improve collaboration in political and security matters, economics, trade, and finance, promote people-to-people and cultural exchanges.

He further stated that states should advocate for a balanced and orderly multipolar world, promote universally advantageous and inclusive economic globalization, and ensure sustainable global development.

In addition, the leaders vowed to uphold the United Nation’s importance in the international system, defend multilateralism, and support the organization’s substantial role in global governance, including artificial intelligence.

They reaffirmed their commitment to peacefully settling disputes through consultation and negotiation, supporting any efforts that promote a peaceful resolution of crises.

The leaders agreed to create the New Development Bank, a new type of multilateral development bank for the twenty-first century, and to further the restructuring of the existing international economic and financial system.

They commended the UN General Assembly for adopting relevant resolutions on the International Day for Dialogue among Civilizations, which China started, and for promoting respect for the diversity of civilizations around the world.

At the 16th BRICS event, the creation of BRICS partners was announced, and the Kazan Declaration was issued.
