China’s role in giving COVID-19 vaccines
China has played a significant role in providing COVID-19 vaccines to the world. China has donated and sold COVID-19 vaccines to many countries and international organizations, while mainly focusing on many low- and middle-income countries.
China’s vaccines donations have primarily been through the COVAX facility, a global initiative to ensure equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines. In addition to providing vaccines through COVAX, China has also made bilateral agreements with many countries to provide vaccines.
