President of Pakistan met outgoing Ambassador of Azerbaijan

Islamabad, July 2, 2021 (TDI): President Arif Alvi on Thursday said the bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Azerbaijan should be further expanded in various sectors.

Talking to the outgoing Ambassador Alizada, Dr. Arif Alvi said Azerbaijan and Pakistan can further build up their bilateral and economic assistance along with the exchange of trade by taking substantial measures.

He further added, the two countries have been appreciated for their good ties and cooperation in the regions of trade, education, commerce, and culture at several international platforms, that can be further developed following the mutual gain.

The President Arif Alvi highly valued Azerbaijan’s support to Global Initiative on Debt Relief originated by PM Imran Khan. He also praised the contribution of the Azerbaijani Ambassador towards enhancing the ties between both countries that are based on strong cultural and historic affiliation.

The Ambassador Ali Alizada highlighted the need for strengthening bilateral agreements and economic cooperation between Pakistan and Azerbaijan. He also emphasized on the need to promote trade and people-to-people communication to bring the two countries further closer.

The president congratulated the Ambassador on the liberation of the region of Nagorno-Karabakh which was occupied by Armenian forces.

President Arif Alvi admired the participation of the outgoing Ambassador towards reinforcing bilateral relations and wished him success for the days ahead.
