Istanbul, 18 August 2021 (TDI): On August 16, President Dr. Arif Alvi met his Turkish counterpart,  Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the Vadettin Palace.

The meeting lasted for four hours. Both the leaders discussed the recent developments in Afghanistan in detail.

Possible assistance of Pakistan regarding the safe transfer of Turkish assets from Afghanistan was assessed in the discussion.

Roots of the relations between the two countries are reflected in their shared values and history.
