Islamabad (TDI): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday thanked Chinese President Xi Jinping for warm wishes on his birthday.
“I am grateful for this gracious gesture that reflects the iron brotherhood and All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership between Pakistan and the People’s Republic of China,” PM Shehbaz wrote on X.

“Together, we will continue to work assiduously to build a prosperous Pakistan-China community with a Shared Future.”
Earlier in the day, President Xi Jinping in a rare letter addressed to PM Shehebaz Sharif, expressed good wishes for the latter on his 73rd birthday.

In the letter, President Xi said Pakistan and China are all-weather friends who stand together in difficult times as well.
“History is witness to the brotherly ties and trust both countries have in each other,” President Xi wrote.
He further said such are the strong ties between Beijing and Islamabad that they remain unaffected by changing regional and global scenarios.
