PM Imran Khan calls Iran’s new president Ebrahim Raisi

Islamabad: July 05, 2021- (TDI): Prime Minister of Pakistan Mr. Imran Khan and the new President of Iran elected Mr. Ebrahim Raisi had a telephonic contact with each other on Sunday, July 04, 2021. During this conversation they discussed bilateral relations and strengthening economic ties.

The topics under discussion during this telephonic conversation were their commitment to resolve these long-standing disputes such as the Kashmir Issue and Mr. Raisi expressed his concern over the serious situation and violation of human rights in the region of Jammu and Kashmir. The PM of Pakistan thanked Iran’s president for supporting the cause of Jammu and Kashmir. Mr. Imran Khan expressed his concern over the situation in Afghanistan and both sides promised to support the stance of Afghanistan and to resolve the ongoing conflict going on in the region.

Furthermore, at the end, they agreed to pay official visits to each other’s countries and aimed to further cooperate with each other and work together.
