Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan discussed matters of cooperation by phone

Baku: July 04, 2021 (TDI):  A telephone conversation was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov.

During their talk, both Ministers exchanged their views on current issues of cooperation along with the execution of joint agreements for strengthening traditional relations. The issue of regional security and cooperation within the international organizations was also a part of their dialogue.
The importance of promoting high-level talks between Turkey, Turkmenistan, and Azerbaijan, which is scheduled this year was highlighted as well. During their conversation, both Ministers emphasized how to expand their partnership in the context of regional and international formats.
Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan have been strategic partners since 2017. Later on, in 2020 both countries signed seventeen bilateral documents.
