Kabul, 6 September 2021 (TDI): A telephonic conversation was held between Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Chairman of High Council for Reconciliation of Afghanistan, and Dr. Hussein Amir-Abdollahian, Foreign Minister of Iran. Abdullah congratulated Abdollahian on his appointment as Iranian Foreign Minister.
Both parties discussed the Afghan Crisis and decided to join hands for humanitarian aid to Afghanistan. Moreover, both officials agreed to fight terrorism, as well as the formation of a new government in Afghanistan with the participation of all nations and parties.
Abdullah thanked the Iranian Foreign Minister for his support to defend the people of Afghanistan. Both parties agreed that the people of Afghanistan are the ones who must decide on the future of the state.
