Philippines-Venezuela commemorates 53rd diplomatic relations

Manila, 27 August 2021 (TDI): The Republic of the Philippines and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela are celebrating the 53rd anniversary of their formal diplomatic relations today. Both states developed diplomatic ties in 1968.

Stretching on an area of 17,677 km, there are around 34 Filipinos who reside in Venezuela. The two countries are active members of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and advocate for South-South cooperation, sustainable development, and cultural diversity. Two countries have a total trade of $966,300 (2020) and total export of $357,000 (2020).
