Islamabad, 15 December 2022 (TDI): Fawzi Al-Taher Al Nuwairi, the first Deputy Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives, met with Noor Alam Khan, the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), at Parliament House.
According to Noor Alam Khan, relations between Pakistan and Libya are friendly and cordial. Additionally, he stated that the visit of a Libyan parliamentary delegation would further solidify relations between the two countries.
“He also extended an official invitation to the President of Libya to visit Pakistan and expressed his gratitude for the care given to Pakistani workers in Libya. Additionally, Chairman PAC requested the start of direct flights between Pakistan and Libya.
He claimed that a significant portion of the Pakistani diaspora serving in Libya would be made easier by this initiative. According to him, Pakistan has a skilled population that can be crucial to the advancement of both nations.
Muhammad Junaid Anwar, a SAPM/MNA, was also present at the meeting. He claimed that Islamophobia is a challenge for Pakistan and the entire Muslim Ummah and that it is time for them to unite and take action against all conspirators and propagandists.
Faisel Kareem, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Eradicating Poverty, also gave the delegation a briefing on the fundamental elements of the Benazir Income Support Program and other initiatives to safeguard the most vulnerable members of society.
While Fawzi Al-Taher Al Nuwairi expressed appreciation for the gracious welcome. He asserted that Pakistan & Libya have a long history of cordial bilateral relations and that contact between the parliaments of the two countries would further deepen ties.
