Islamabad, 16 December 2022 (TDI): On December 14, the Founder of Peace and National Unity and President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon arrived in the city of Islamabad, the capital of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on an official visit.

On his arrival at the international airport of the city of Islamabad, a guard of honor lined up to warmly receive the president. Emomali Rahmon, at the airport, was welcomed by a high-ranking representative of the host country.

 The custom of receiving a head of state was performed. Cannons fired 21 times in honor of the President’s visit. The city was well decorated with flags of both countries.

In line with that, the President met with the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister house.

The event started on a good note as both leaders exchanged pleasantries and commenced with the signing of new documents of cooperation between Tajikistan and Pakistan.

The new document which seeks to bring a strong partnership between these two countries was well addressed. Pakistan and Tajikistan have been strong partners when it comes to cooperation in various forms.

The new document is setting a new pace for continuous bilateral for them. After that, there was a top-level meeting and negotiations between both countries with the participation of extended delegates.

The meeting which is based on bilateral and diplomatic standards and norms as well addressed both parties. They also discussed topics of great importance.

Tajikistan is seeking to extend its influence of partnership with Pakistan as both countries are peace-loving countries.

Their ability to promote unity and fight all forms of violence and extremism will yield more developmental projects for the citizens.

Both parties signed several memorandums of understanding to ensure that their relations become stronger.

 It is pertinent to note that, the President of Tajikistan has visited Pakistan several times since 1994. That shows how strong their relations are when it comes to diplomacy.
