Palestinian Prime Minister receives the President of World Bank Group

Ramallah, 6 October 2021 (TDI): The Prime Minister of Palestine, Dr. Mohammad Shtayyeh met with the President of the World Bank Group, David Malpass. The meeting was held to discuss the situation of the country.

The discussion during the meeting encompassed the intricate financial and political scenario. The World Bank has been making efforts to aid Palestine, specifically in the context of the Palestinian National Development Plan.

Palestine has been a target of unlawful atrocities by Israel. The colonial ambitions of Israel have caused the forceful displacement of the people, resulting in a humanitarian crisis. Most recently, due to the persistent aggression by the Israeli government, the political and financial strata of Palestine have been under distress.
