Tokyo (TDI): Four Pakistani companies are displaying their top-quality food products at FOODEX2025 being held in Tokyo. Pakistan’s Ambassador to Japan, Raza Bashir Tarar, participated in the inauguration ceremony of the expo.
FOODEX Japan is a two-day exhibition of food and beverages of Asia. The event is one of the largest displays of its kind, in which countries from all over Asia take part.
Four Pakistani companies are representing Pakistan in this year’s FOODEX and Ambassador Raza Bashir visited the displays himself. Encouraging the companies, Ambassador Raza posed in group photos alongside the stall managers and companies representatives from Pakistan.
By participating in Asia’s largest food exhibition, Pakistan seeks to expand trade avenues with Japan. Also, the expo presents a perfect opportunity for the four participating Pakistani companies to explore new markets.

The X account of Pakistan’s Embassy in Japan posted, “four leading Pakistani companies are showcasing premium quality food products, highlighting Pakistan’s rich agricultural and food industry potential.”
Pakistan’s exports to Japan usually include cotton products, textile goods, and chemical products. The export volume for the year 2023 remained around $223 million. The food expo is a valuable exposure for Pakistani food brands to expand their business in Japan and find new customers.
FOODEX 2025 has attracted around seventy countries in a regional showcase of food and beverages. In addition, buyers from Korea, Taiwan, China, and Southeast Asia are also participating in the expo.
Ambassador Raza Bashir Tarar is serving as Pakistan’s Ambassaor to Japan since March, 2023. Alongside other ambassadors, he was also invited at the inauguration ceremony of the expo and appeared in the official group photo of the inauguration ceremony.
