Houston, 15 December 2021 (TDI): Last weekend, Abrar Hashmi, the Pakistani Consul General in Houston visited the Islamic Arts Exhibition. This exhibition was organized by the Islamic Arts Council in Houston. The event was also attended by the members of the Pakistani Consulate in Houston.

The Consul General called the exhibition to be splendid. He said the Islamic Arts Council through this annual exhibition has brought the local artists, intellectuals, and young creative minds together.

Abrar Hashmi says the event highlights the rich cultural diversity in Houston. The display of Islamic art was appreciated not only by the Pakistani American community but by the American community there as well. This shows the love and respect shared by the people in that society.

Art has always played an important role in bringing people from different societies and ethnicities together. It helps people explore the cultural and religious aspects of other communities and groups.

The event included paintings of mosques and the sacred Roza e Rasool. Moreover, it had a display of Islamic Calligraphy on all sizes of canvases. The exhibition also consisted of Islamic geometric art on Morrocan plates, thus bringing more variety to the exhibition.

The exhibition had trained staff next to different sections of the art displays, to accommodate people regarding any kind of information.

The Islamic Arts Council in Houston is making efforts through various mediums to bridge the gap between various societies. The Council celebrates the rich heritage of Islam through these events. They open up these events for the general public to spread out a friendly hand for different communities.

In today’s world, these events are really important as they bring a community together and encourage acceptance within society. Such people-to-people interactions play a vital role in strengthening the relationship among the countries as well.
