Pakistan’s Ambassador receives UN Special Representative for Afghanistan

Kabul, 29 September 2021 (TDI): Pakistani Ambassador to Afghanistan, Mansoor Ahmad Khan received the UN Special Representative for Afghanistan, Deborah Lyons.

The Ambassador welcomed Deborah Lyons and conveyed warm greetings. Both parties discussed the constructive engagement with Afghanistan for peace and stability. UN envoy discussed the issues of inclusive Government. She also highlighted that an Inclusive Government can work better in the region. It would much improve developmental prospects.

The Ambassador appreciated the UN’s more active and robust presence in the region. He also appreciated its position on women’s participation respecting religious and cultural norms. Both parties hoped to bring peace and stability to Afghanistan.
