Pakistan’s Ambassador discusses Afghanistan’s Economy

Kabul, 27 October 2021 (TDI): Pakistan’s Ambassador to Afghanistan, Mansoor Ahmad Khan held a meeting with the Governor of Afghanistan Bank, Maulana Haji Mohammad Idris. In the Meeting, the two representatives deliberated on the current situation of Afghanistan’s economy.

Both sides discussed the imperative measures for strengthening the banking sector of Afghanistan. The aim of the representatives was to deliberate on considerations required to promote economic growth. Along with Economic growth, Ambassador Mansoor Ahmad Khan also talked about issues of monetary progress.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to Afghanistan is actively participating in various meetings to discuss imperative measures to stabilize Afghanistan. Earlier, the Ambassador met with the Ambassador of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan to discuss humanitarian initiatives. Ambassador Mette Knudsen and Ambassador Mansoor Ahmad Khan discussed the need for international help for Afghan citizens.

Participation of the international community is of utmost importance according to the Ambassador, Mansoor Ahmad Khan as Afghanistan is likely to face a massive humanitarian crisis. An international resolve is rigorously advocated by Pakistan to avert the looming threat of economic collapse leading to a humanitarian crisis.
